Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Free check form: firm name, city, practice area, website, and email address.
- A hidden anti-spam field that only automated bots fill in.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected by our hosting and analytics providers.
- Anything you send us by email if you write to us.
2. How we use it
- To generate your AI visibility report.
- To email you the link to your report, and a few follow-up notes about what it shows.
- To run, secure, and improve the service.
- To tell you about the paid audit, where the law permits that kind of follow-up.
Every follow-up email includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out stops the follow-ups immediately; if you later run another free check yourself, we will still email you that report link, because you asked for it.
3. Who processes it for us
A few service providers handle data on our behalf. None of them may use your data for their own marketing.
- Vercel hosts the site, provides cookie-free analytics, and stores report files.
- Resend sends our emails, so it receives the email address and message content of anything we send you.
- Google Analytics measures how the site is used and sets cookies to do it.
- Google Places suggests city names as you type in the city field; the text you type there is sent to Google to fetch matching cities.
- Supabase stores the database records behind checks and reports.
- OpenAI receives the firm name, city, and practice area when we write the report's questions, and the AI tools' answers when we read the firm names out of them.
- DataForSEO runs the report's questions against the AI tools on our behalf, so it receives those questions, including the firm name, city, and practice area, and supplies the search results data used in reports.
4. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely.
5. Report pages are shareable
The firm name, city, practice area, and results of a free check appear on a report page that anyone with the link can view. Your email address never appears on the report. If you want a report removed, contact us and we will take it down.
6. How long we keep it
We keep checks, reports, and correspondence while they are useful for running the service. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, local law gives you these rights formally, including the right to complain to a regulator. We do not sell personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@kudu.legal.
8. Children
The service is for law firms and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be flagged on the site.
